PIN (2FA), or Two-Factor Authentication using a PIN, adds an extra layer of security to your Scopuly wallet. It requires you to enter a 4-digit PIN code to access the app or perform sensitive actions, even if someone has your device or password. This significantly reduces the risk of unauthorized access and protects your valuable assets.
Launch the Scopuly mobile application on your device.
On the home page, tap the menu icon in the upper left corner (represented by three horizontal lines).
The side menu will open. Scroll down until you find the “Settings” item and tap on it.
The “Settings” window will open. Tap on “PIN (2FA).”
The “Set PIN” window will open.
Enter a 4-digit PIN code.
Important: Choose a strong and unique PIN that is difficult to guess. Avoid easily predictable codes like “1111,” “1234,” or your birth year.
After entering your PIN, tap the “SET PIN” button.
You will see a confirmation message indicating that your PIN protection has been successfully set.
Tap the “OK” button.
After setting up your PIN, you can customize how often you are prompted to enter it.
After the initial PIN setup, you will see the “PIN Settings” item. Tap on it.
A window with the following options will open: - Every Start (Default): You will be prompted to enter your PIN every time you open the Scopuly app. - Every 30 min: You will be prompted to enter your PIN every 30 minutes while the app is open. - Every Transaction: You will be prompted to enter your PIN before every transaction.
Select the option that best suits your security needs and convenience.
If you no longer wish to use PIN (2FA), you can remove it.
Follow the same steps as in the “Setting Up PIN (2FA)” section to access the “PIN (2FA)” window.
The “Reset PIN” window will open.
Enter the 4-digit PIN code that you previously set up.
Once you enter the correct PIN, it will be automatically reset, and you will see a notification confirming that the PIN has been successfully removed and 2FA is turned off.
Tap the “OK” button.
Enhanced Security: Adds an extra layer of protection against unauthorized access.
Peace of Mind: Provides greater confidence in the security of your assets.
Customization: Allows you to tailor the PIN frequency to your preferences.
