How to add your wallet to Freighter

Visit the Freighter website at “”.
Go to your browser’s extension store and search for “Freighter” or go to “".
If you chose the website method, click on the “Download Freighter” button. This will redirect you to the appropriate extension store for your browser.
If you used the extension store, search for “Freighter” in the search results and click “Add to Chrome” (or a similar option for your browser).
After installing the extension, the Freighter Wallet login page will automatically open.
This tutorial focuses on adding an existing Stellar wallet.
On the login page, you will see two buttons, “Create” (to create a new wallet) and “Import” (to import an existing one).
Click on the “Import” button.
A new window will appear asking you to enter your Stellar wallet recovery phrase.
This is the all-important 12 (or 24) word passphrase you mentioned earlier.
Below the recovery phrase section is a field to create a new password. This password will be used specifically to access your wallet in Freighter.
Choose a strong and unique password for optimal security.
After entering your recovery phrase and password, click the “Import” button. Freighter will process your information.
After a successful import, you will see a confirmation message that your wallet has been successfully added to Freighter.
Congratulations!!! You have now added your existing Stellar wallet to Freighter.
