How to set the Federation Name for a Stellar address⚙️

Access Your Scopuly Wallet:

• Launch the Scopuly platform and navigate to the “Wallet” tab. Alternatively, you can directly access your wallet using this link: "Wallet".

  

Open Wallet Settings:

• Locate the menu icon on the wallet page (three horizontal lines).

Navigate to the Name Section:

• Click on the menu icon to reveal a dropdown menu.

• Select the “Settings” option.

  
• Within the settings menu, locate the section labeled “Name”.

Set Your Federation Name:

You’ll see a field labeled “Federation Name”, along with an example demonstrating the format (e.g., “example*scopuly.com”).

• Enter your desired Federation Name in the designated field. It’s recommended to choose a name that’s easy to remember and identify.

  

Save the Federation Name:

• Once you’ve chosen your preferred Federation Name, click the “Save Federation Name” button.

Confirmation and Use:

Scopuly will process your request and confirm that your Federation Name has been successfully set. You can now share your Federation Name along with your Scopuly public key with anyone who wants to send you Stellar assets.

Important Considerations:

Federation Names are not case-sensitive. “YourName” and “yourname” will resolve to the same Stellar address. While Federation Names offer convenience, it’s crucial to always double-check the public key associated with the Federation Name before sending any assets. This ensures you’re sending them to the intended recipient. You can modify your Federation Name at any time by following the same steps and entering a new desired name. By setting a Federation Name in Scopuly, you significantly simplify the process of receiving Stellar assets. Remember, prioritize caution and verify public keys before sending any cryptocurrency.
