How to create a Claimable Balance

Steps to create a claimed balance on Scopuly:

Access Claimable Balances:

• Launch the Scopuly platform and click on the “Claimable Balances” tab. You can also go directly to this link: “Claimable Balances”.

  

Initiate the creation of a Claimable Balance:

• Locate the green button labeled “+Create” (usually in the upper right corner) on the Claimable Balances page.

• Click this button to begin the creation process.

  

Specifying Claimable Balance Information:

A new window will appear asking you to enter various details:

• Sponsored Account: Select the Stellar account from which you will distribute assets (provide funds). Asset: Select the specific Stellar asset you want to distribute (e.g. XLM or custom token). Address: Enter the public address of the recipient who will receive the assets. Amount: Enter the amount of the selected asset you are allocating to the recipient.

  

Set demand timeframe (optional):

Scopuly allows you to define a time frame within which the recipient can make a claim for the balance of the assets to be recovered.

• Start time: set the date and time at which the recipient can begin claiming assets.

• End time: set a date and time by which the recipient must claim the assets; otherwise, they will be returned to the sponsor’s account.

Additional rules for reclaiming by the sponsor:

In this section, you can set additional restrictions on who can claim the balance of the assets to be claimed (optional):

• Anytime: The beneficiary can claim the assets at any time during the specified time period. (default option). After claimant: The recipient can only claim assets after you (the sponsor) has made a claim attempt. Never: Only the recipient can claim the assets.

Creating a balance to claim:

Once you have entered all the required information, review it carefully. Click the “Create Claimable Balance” button to confirm the creation process.

Transaction Confirmation:

Scopuly will prompt you to confirm the transaction. You may need to enter your Scopuly password or use any 2FA methods you have enabled for additional security.

Claimable Balance Created:

Upon successful confirmation, Scopuly will display a message indicating that the Claimable Balance has been created. The recipient will be able to see and claim the creation of the Claimable Balance in their Scopuly wallet or any other Stellar wallet that supports the creation of Claimable Balances. Congratulations! You have successfully created a Claimable Balance on Scopuly to distribute Stellar assets to another account.
