Home Domain

Setting up a Home Domain on the Stellar network is a crucial step for any asset issuer. It serves as an on-chain link that verifies your Stellar account is officially associated with a specific web domain. This domain, in turn, hosts the stellar.toml file (following SEP-0001 standards), which contains official information about your organization, your token, and contact details. This simple action adds transparency and builds trust with users, exchanges, and other services.

Step-by-Step Guide to Setting the Home Domain:

1. Access the Wallet Section:

  • Launch the Scopuly mobile application on your device.

  • At the bottom of the screen, tap the “Wallet” icon.

2. Select the Issuer Wallet:

  • In the list of your connected wallets, select the specific Stellar account that you used to issue your token (your issuer’s account).

  • Once selected, tap on the wallet menu icon, which is typically displayed by three horizontal lines (three dashes).

3. Navigate to Settings:

  • In the wallet menu that opens, select the “Settings” item.

4. Access Home Domain:

  • The “Settings” window will open, displaying various wallet configurations.

  • Select the “Home Domain” option.

5. Enter the Domain URL:

  • In the window that opens, you need to enter the root domain where your stellar.toml file is hosted.

  • Example: If your official token information file is located at https://mytoken.com/.well-known/stellar.toml, you would enter the root domain: mytoken.com.

  • Note: Do not include https://, www., or the path to the file itself—just the domain name.

6. Set the Home Domain:

  • After you have carefully entered the domain name, double-check it for accuracy.

  • Click on the “SET HOME DOMAIN” button.

7. Final Confirmation:

  • A confirmation window will appear, summarizing the change you are about to make to your Stellar account.

  • If everything is correct and you are sure you want to proceed, click “OK” to submit the transaction to the Stellar network.

8. Confirmation

  • After a few moments, the transaction will be confirmed on the Stellar ledger, and you will see a success message. Your token issuer’s account is now officially linked on-chain to your specified domain!
