➕Create Token
Prerequisites: Understanding Accounts
To issue a custom token on Stellar, you must use at least two separate, funded Stellar accounts:
Issuer Account: This account is the creator and ultimate controller of the asset. It is forever linked to the asset’s identity and is used to mint (issue) the supply.
Distributor Account: This account is the first recipient of the new tokens. It serves as the operational wallet from which tokens are distributed to other users.
Minimum Balance Requirement: Both the Issuer Account and the Distributor Account must have a minimum balance of at least 4 XLM. This XLM is needed to cover the base minimum account reserve and the reserve requirements for transactions and the new asset’s trustline.
Step-by-Step Token Creation
1. Prepare Your Wallets
Before starting, ensure you have two separate, funded wallets connected in the Scopuly app that will serve as your Issuer and Distributor accounts. Each must hold at least 4 XLM.
2. Access the Token Creation Feature
Launch the Scopuly app.
Click on the menu button (three lines) in the upper left corner.

3. Scroll down the side menu and click on the “Create Token” button.
4. The initial “Create Token” window will open. Click on the “Create Token” button again to proceed to the issuance form.

3. Fill in Token Options
The “Issue token” window will open, where you must configure your new asset. Here’s a breakdown of the fields:
Asset Code — The unique ticker or symbol for your token. For example:
SCOP,MYTOKEN,USD.Amount — The initial supply of tokens you wish to mint (issue) into the Distributor Account.
Select Issuer wallet — The account that will control the asset (its identity and supply).
Select Distributor wallet The account that will receive the initial supply of tokens.
Home DomainHome Domain Note: You may see a notification that the Home Domain is not set. It is strongly recommended to set a Home Domain on your Issuer Account to establish trust and link your asset to official information via a
stellar.tomlfile. You can read a separate guide on how to set this up:
4. Confirm and Issue the Token
Final Review: After filling in all the token options, carefully review the information. Double-check that you have selected the correct Issuer wallet and Distributor wallet — confusing these accounts can cause issues later.

2. Click on the “Issue Token” button.
3. Transaction Confirmation: A final confirmation window will pop up, summarizing the transaction details (the payment operation that creates the asset). If everything is correct, click “OK.”
5. Confirmation
After a couple of seconds, you will see the successful message: “Asset Issued.”

Post-Issuance Steps
View Your Token: Go back to the Wallet section of the app, open your Distributor wallet, and you will see the newly created token with the initial amount you issued.

2. Trustline Created: The issuance process automatically creates a trustline for your new token on the Distributor Account, allowing it to hold the asset.
3. Start Distributing: You can now begin distributing your token from the Distributor Account to any other Stellar account that has established a trustline for your asset.
