How to pay Payment Request

Two Convenient Ways to Initiate Payment:

Scopuly offers two user-friendly methods to pay a Payment Request:

Clicking a Payment Link: If you receive a Payment Request as a web link, simply tapping on it and populate the necessary payment details.
Scanning a QR Code (The Easiest Method): This is a quick and efficient way to capture all the payment information directly.

Step-by-Step Guide to Paying via QR Code Scan:

Launch the Scopuly mobile application on your device.
On the home page, locate the QR code scanner button. This is found in the top right corner of the screen and is usually depicted by a square icon with brackets or corner markers. Tap on this button.

If this is your first time using the QR code scanner, the app may ask for permission to access your device’s camera. Grant the necessary permission to proceed.

Your smartphone’s camera will activate. Position your device so that the camera clearly captures the entire QR code provided for the Payment Request. Ensure good lighting and a steady hand for accurate scanning.

Once the scanner successfully recognizes the QR code, the “Scan Results” window will open.
Carefully review all the information displayed in this window. This is crucial to ensure you are paying the correct recipient and amount. The details typically include:
Recipient: The Stellar address (public key) of the person or entity requesting payment.
Amount: The specific quantity of the asset being requested.
Asset: The Stellar-based asset (e.g., XLM, USDC, a custom token) being requested.
Fee: The network transaction fee associated with making the payment.

At the bottom of the “Scan Results” window, you will see a field or a dropdown menu that allows you to select the wallet from which you want to make the payment.
Tap on this field and choose the appropriate wallet from your list of connected Scopuly wallets that holds the necessary asset.

After you have carefully reviewed all the details and selected the correct payment wallet, tap the button labeled “Pay (number) (Asset).” The “(number)” will display the amount you are about to pay, and “(Asset)” will show the currency. For example, it might say “Pay 5 XLM.”

A “Confirm” window will appear, providing a final summary of the payment details.
Once again, meticulously check all the information displayed in this confirmation window — recipient address, amount, asset, and fee.
If you are confident that all the details are correct, tap the “Confirm and Pay” button to finalize the transaction.

After a brief processing period, you will see a success message confirming that your Payment Request has been successfully paid. The transaction details will usually be displayed, and the funds will be deducted from your selected wallet and credited to the recipient’s account on the Stellar network.
