Understanding Wallet Merging

Before merging wallets, it’s important to understand what this process entails:

Prerequisite: Remove Trustlines

To successfully merge two wallets, you must first remove all trustlines (balances) from the wallet being merged except for XLM. This ensures that the merge can proceed without issues. Learn more about removing trustlines in this separate guide.

Important Considerations:

1. Navigate to the Wallet Section:

  • Launch the Scopuly mobile application on your device.

  • On the main app screen, locate the “Wallet” button at the bottom of the interface and tap it.

2. Select the Source Wallet:

  • From the list of your connected wallets, choose the wallet you want to merge (the source wallet).

3. Access the Wallet Menu:

  • Once you’ve selected the source wallet, locate the wallet menu icon (represented by three horizontal dashes). Tap on this menu icon.

4. Open Settings:

  • A menu will appear with various options. Select “Settings”.

5. Initiate Account Merge:

  • In the Settings window, tap on the “Account Merge” option.

6. Enter Destination Wallet Address:

  • A new window will open, prompting you to enter the Public Key (wallet address) of the destination wallet. This is where your assets will be transferred.

  • Double-check the accuracy of the entered address.

7. Confirm Merge:

  • After entering the destination wallet address, tap the “Merge Accounts” button.

8. Final Confirmation:

  • A confirmation window will appear, asking if you’re sure you want to merge the selected wallet. Recall that this action is not reversible.

  • If you’re certain about proceeding, tap the “OK” button.

9. Merge Successful:

  • After a short processing time, you should see a message confirming that the wallet merge was successful.

  • The source wallet will be removed from your wallet list, and its assets will be transferred to the destination wallet.
